Cultivation and processing-management WOVEN WIND COTTONgenerally comes without exception from controlled and certified cultivation under IFOAM (International Federation of organic agicultural members) and EC-guidelines.Biggest value is given to the relinquishment of chemical-synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Fertile and healthy grounds and the more inferior water-demand caused through it (about). 5m3 instead of 30m3 waters per kg cotton in the conventional cultivation, stands for practiced environment and climate-protection. Field-planning, fruit-rotation-planning, farmer-trainings, regular care, clarification of social questions, support of the procurement of biological preparations etc. has for LICHT-SCHATZ PROJEKTEmost upper prioritys.WOVEN WIND COTTONis picked exclusively by hand! All raw-cottons are cleaned in certified cleaning-facilities (ginnings)who are only processing organic!The social guarding is done for pickers, farmers and fiber-processors through a guaranteed Bio-Premium according to market-situation, harvest yield and certain individual situations. Natural fertilizers and the high-quality non-gen-manipulated seeds are financed fair through advance-payments and not through credits, but according to farmers situation..All processing-ways and textile-steps are controlledand certified from recognized and EC-accredited institutes (IMO / Switzerland, Control UNION / Holland and others).All international standards are covered • The involved Certifying-Institutes • The German IVN-Guidelines (IVN-BEST) • This global Organic-Textil-Standards (GOTS)) • And of course our own technical and quality standards Standards and measures are documented with the WOVEN WIND COTTONlabel.
